For decades the Negev Phosphate Works have been engaged in open-pit mining. This created a desolate landscape of huge holes and waste heaps. To counter this environmental damage, we developed new mining procedures that refill the pits once the phosphates have been removed.
	The restructuring is predetermined in the plan to echo the surrounding curving geological formations. In effect a gigantic environmental sculpture is created.
