A parking lot was moved from the most central open space of the Technion campus. In its place, as the main open space of the university, a stone-paved central plaza was established,
	including a large sloping lawn which can accommodate a great number of students for gatherings such as concerts and commencement exercises. On the upper part of the lawn is large water feature, built from massive stone.
