Independence Park is located in the center of Jerusalem. A small hill was removed to create a large open meadow. This area serves as an amphitheater for the city's festivities and holidays. The park is on abroad, east-facing slope whose lower portion is the site of an ancient, 3,000 square-meter reservoir that once collected water for the city.
